Utility Resource Network (URN), initially started in 1987 as the "dry utility" division of The Moote Group, was formed to address those specific needs for their clients "in house". URN provides a full range of services in respect to "dry utilities" to include: Cost Estimating, Availability of Facilities, Conflict Reports, Utility Design/Contract Coordination, Bid Packages and Communications Partnering.

In today's fast changing technology world it became apparent that some of our clients required additional services that went beyond the "normal" utility coordination process. There was a need to obtain information regarding the availibility of high-speed (fiber) facilities in order to advertise those capabilities in their buildings. In addition there was a need to identify optional providers (Competitive Local Exchange Carrier - CLEC's), other than the incumbent telephone (AT&T, Verizon) company, and negotiate marketing arragements with each prospective provider that would provide financial benefits to our clients.
